Spellbinding Shows in Branson

Branson, Missouri is a performing arts dream, and when you visit the area you will be dying to get in on thesix-show1 fun.  With over 150 shows to choose from, there is sure to be something to meet every interest.  Branson houses over 40 stages and draws an impressive number of tourists every year.  It is best known for its dazzling theatrics and vibrant stage productions which continue to entertain the masses from one season to the next.     

Music is the medium of choice for much of the Branson area, with performances in virtually every musical genre.  Shows feature a variety of musical influences including blues, Motown, rock and roll, gospel, country, bluegrass, Broadway showtunes, and more.  Some visitors may prefer to take in a magic or comedy show, and when you are in Branson you can do it all!

shoji-tabuchi2One of the most popular shows in the Branson area is the Shoji Tabuchi Show.  Led by Shoji himself, the show introduces you to his family of avid performers, including his wife Dorothy and daughter Christina.  Shoji has also hand-picked each band member and each has one or more professional degrees in music.  Those with a background in the arts know that this is not always the case.  Dorothy oversees the dancing and, along with the help of a renowned choreographer, she has put together an impressive display that will both entertain and amaze you.  The show provides all the glitz and glamour of a Las Vegas show while staying close to its wholesome and family-friendly roots.  That’s right; this is a show that you AND your kids will enjoy.

A combination of music and comedy, the Baldknobbers Jamboree Show is one of the many events in the area that has drawn a large crowd year after year since 1959.  The show is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary, making it the first to ever come to Branson.  Starting with four brothers in the Mabe family, it had a humble beginning with the performers entertaining from the Branson lakefront.  Since its start, four family generations have participated in the show which spans across six decades.  Today, a cast of talented singers, musicians, entertainers, and comedians work together to present to the audience a demonstration of music and comedy at its very best.   

Along with its wide array of theatrical performances, Branson also attracts many solo performers who visitbaldknobbers2 for limited engagements throughout the year.  In November, for example, you can catch a concert by Amy Grant, best known for her Contemporary Christian and popular music which she has performed from the 1970s to present.  Also appearing is Bobby Vinton, a successful rock singer most recognized for his works in the 1960s and 1970s.
